In Paul's first letter to the Corinthian Church, he tells them that they need to hold firmly to and stand on the Gospel. He then gives a basic outline of what the Gospel is. Scripture flushes this out more and gives us application for our lives, but the basics are simple Jesus is God in the flesh, died on the cross, buried, raised to life, and ascended into heaven to sit on the throne of honor. Take your stand on the truth of The Gospel.
